Tongue-tie and feeding
Clicking feeds, nipple damage, and poor transfer can have many causes. Oral restrictions are one possibility — skilled feeding assessment comes before rushing to a release.
Not every tongue-tie causes breastfeeding problems, and not every feeding problem is a tongue-tie. We assess function at the breast first.
If a procedure is appropriate, I can help you prepare, protect supply, and rehabilitate feeding afterwards — and refer to suitable practitioners.
This is not a diagnosis or surgical service. Medical decisions stay with you and your clinical team.
FAQ
Do you perform tongue-tie releases?
No. I provide lactation assessment and feeding support, and refer when a clinical procedure may be indicated.
